What is Scar Camouflage

The tattooing of the skin with different colors of flesh tone pigments is often called skin or scar camouflage. The purpose of this treatment is to disguise a scar or any of the skin areas which are missing out pigment or color. In formal terms, it is a specialized area of permanent cosmetics that lies under the branch of medical or paramedical tattooing. The process of Skin Re-pigmentation, Skin Camouflage, Camouflage Tattooing, and Skin Color Tattooing is called as Corrective Pigment Camouflage (CPC). It is only the chosen specialists who understand the chemistry behind pigments and the physiology of human skin and tissue. Such procedures require intensive knowledge, training, skills, and experience in permanent cosmetics along with an artistic eye for recognizing color and skin tones.

Studies in psychology have shown that self-confidence rises in a person when their appearance and body image gets better. This call for a scalp savant, which provided the services of paramedical tattooing. The skin color loss/de-pigmentation can occur from medical procedures, any sort of burns or due to accidents, congenital anomalies, or various types of skin diseases.  Hence, with the updated technologies, medical treatments and surgical procedures have proven to correct or improve the appearance of various types of skin abnormalities and scars.
